Termit kuten magnesiumbisglysinaatti, kelatoitu magnesium ja magnesiumkelaatit voivat helposti aiheuttaa hämmennystä etsiessäsi 'oikeaa' magnesiumbisglysinaattia. Pohjimmiltaan ne tarkoittavat kuitenkin samaa: orgaanista yhdistettä, jossa magnesium on sitoutunut aminohappo glysiiniin!
Tällaisia yhdisteitä kutsutaan myös kelatoiduiksi komplekseiksi. Ja kun aminohappo on kaksinkertaisena, kuten kapseleissamme, sanaan magnesium(bis)glysinaatti lisätään tavu 'bis'. Kuulostaa siis monimutkaisemmalta kuin onkaan!
