When preparing follow-on milk, follow the instructions carefully. Improper preparation and storage can lead to health problems. Prepare the food fresh before each meal and feed it immediately. Do not reuse leftover food. Clean the bottle, teat and ring thoroughly. Do not heat infant formula in the microwave (risk of overheating).
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
Exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months is ideal for your baby. Please note: Like any follow-on milk, MILASAN 3 should not be used as a breast milk substitute for the first 6 months, but only afterwards as part of a mixed diet.
However, your baby's individual growth and development needs may require that follow-on formulas be introduced into your baby's diet at an earlier stage as part of a mixed diet. Please seek advice on this from your pediatrician.
Breast milk also contains MILASAN 3 carbohydrates. Frequent or constant contact of carbohydrate-containing foods with the teeth can cause tooth damage through caries. Therefore, a bottle feed - like a breast-feed - should only last as long as is necessary for the actual drinking process. Do not let your child suck on the bottle all the time.
Breastfeeding is the best and most natural nutrition for your baby. Please speak to your midwife or pediatrician before using infant formula.
