The hydrocolloid dressing absorbs wound fluid and forms a gel that expands on the wound, keeping it moist and thus ensuring optimal wound healing conditions. The healing process is accelerated and the risk of scarring is reduced. At the same time, the wound is reliably protected from the penetration of dirt, water, and bacteria. The cushioning effect also provides immediate pain relief. For optimal treatment success, hydrocolloid patches should be left on the skin until they detach themselves. If they need to be removed earlier, peel them off slowly and gradually under warm water.
