Mighty Melt or Jelly Joker: do you need both cleansers?

Does your evening cleanser need to remove waterproof makeup or sunscreen? Mighty Melt is the balm you start on dry skin. Jelly Joker is the non-foaming gel you use on a damp face. It can work alone; for long-lasting makeup or sunscreen, the brand recommends it as a second cleanse.

Mighty Melt: for taking off makeup and sunscreen

The brand positions this balm for waterproof makeup and sunscreen too. Its formula starts with the ester Ethylhexyl Palmitate. Add water and the oily texture turns milky so it can be rinsed away. That is the practical difference from the water-based gel.

1. With dry fingertips, apply a walnut-sized amount to dry skin.
2. Gently massage over your face and eye area in circular motions.
3. Add a little lukewarm water to emulsify, then rinse thoroughly.

Jelly Joker: for a non-foaming gel cleanse

Jelly Joker is intended for cleansing and water-soluble makeup. Its water-based formula includes panthenol and allantoin. The gel does not foam, so the amount of lather is not a useful way to judge this product.

1. Wet your face and spread the gel in your palms.
2. When using it alone, gently massage a generous amount over your face and eye area for 30–60 seconds.
3. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and gently pat dry.

One cleanser or two?

• Without waterproof makeup or waterproof sunscreen, the brand says Jelly Joker can be enough as a single cleanse.
• For waterproof or long-lasting products, consider Mighty Melt for removal. If you double cleanse, use Jelly Joker after rinsing the balm away.
• You do not automatically need to buy both. Choose around what you need to remove and the application you prefer.

A few practical details

Both are rinse-off cosmetics. Follow the delivered packaging and stop using a product if it irritates your skin. The brand gives an after-opening period of 8 months for Mighty Melt and 12 months for Jelly Joker; note when you open them and also check the printed date. Neither cleanser provides sun protection.
